The living, breathing, ground-breaking international comedy legend, bordering on urban myth, Brendon Burns is coming to Kathmandu!
“Not only has he been pushing back the boundaries of good taste for decades now. I’m actually pretty certain he had no idea where they were in the first place” - Jimmy Carr
Once banned from the BBC for tongue-kissing a goat on live TV, he was the first white comic ever to perform at the UWC in a post-Apartheid South Africa.
He outdid The Grateful Dead in ’05 by smuggling over 10kg of magic mushrooms into the Glastonbury festival to hand out to the audience during his headline set.
In ’97 he was the original host of The 11 O’Clock Show in the UK which launched the careers of Sacha Baron-Cohen AND Ricky Gervais.
Only in 2017 he was one half of the very first white/Indigenous Australian double act in history!
He’s the man of a thousand “firsts”, a bastion of freedom in speech in comedy, a thirty year veteran and one of the most influential and ubiquitously respected stand ups of his generation.
From taking audiences back to someone’s house to finish his encore, to sabotaging his own movie audition just so he could prank Adam Hills, this lifelong comedy nerd has always put funny first.
We’re absolutely sure you’ve never seen a comic like Burns, yet we’ve no doubt you’ve seen a lot of comics try their damnedest to be like him.
Now the globe-trotting, Edinburgh award winning, high concept hour creating, critically acclaimed author, playwright and genre-redefining pioneer of stand up and all-round living comedy legend is in Kathmandu FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!!!
Do whatever it takes to get a ticket cos it’s only happening once.
Tickets are 400 rps at the door.
