Sindhuli Junar Festival 2019

Green Growth has promoted Junar since its initial days. Continuing this on coming years as well, Green growth has ambitious plans of promoting Junar in prominent and efficient way. This year to promote Junar being produced in Sindhuli, Green Growth along with Junar cooperative, Junaar Super zone, Samriddha Sindhuli Abhiyan are organizing Junar festival on the 23rd of November. It may encourage farmer toward Junar production and creating value.

Junar is a citrus species nutritious fruit. It is being commercially cultivated in 42 V.D.C. of Sindhuli District is cultivated in places with altitudes of 800 to 1300 meter along the Mahabharata range. Junar is commercially cultivated in 42 V.D.C. in Sindhuli identifying major pocket areas Ratanchura, Baseshwor, Tinkanya, Bitijor, Jalakanya of Sindhuli.The commercialization for Junar was result of initiation of OVOP (one village one product) program. Although it has nutritional value, it is not as popular as other fruits among consumers of Nepal.
