VAST – Dance Theater Performance

VAST is the story of a Nepali young man who was forced to leave his Himalayan mountains. He is now alone, like a stranger who suffocates in his small room in a big slum of an Indian city. Beyond confinement, misery, he tries day after day, in his routine, to find in his body the door that opens to the Vast, a path to his Himalaya, Nature and his own unlimited nature. An encounter with a strange character will help him on his journey...

After their successful show in India, BHU/EARTH, Philippe Pelen Baldini and Thierry Moucazambo are happy to introduce their new production, VAST. For this new show they collaborate with a young contemporary dancer from India with Nepalese origin: Gopal Dalami. Surya Performance Lab is an aurovilian dance theater company with artists who are fully dedicated to research for new dramaturgy in performing arts.
